Helpful Hints and Other Information Be aware of what you are printing. There are many ways you can help to save paper (and trees!!) Before you print, decide whether you need single-sided or duplex printing (duplex saves paper!). The Lab's printers are set to print duplex by default. You can change this to single-sided printing in the print properties dialog box. Under the Printing Shortcuts tab, under the Print on both sides drop down menu, select None. Use Print Preview whenever possible. How big is the print job? How many pages is it? What type of file is it? Sometimes there are extra pages that you do not need to print. In some cases you can also provide specific page numbers if you do not need the whole file. PLEASE! Do not use our printers as copy machines! It is wasteful, and causes unnecessary wear and tear. DO you really need it in color?? If you need more than a few copies of something, or more than one copy of a large job, please use a copy machine. As always please see DGL staff if the orange attention light is blinking or if the printer is out of paper. We're here to help! |
| Don’t see your print job? Before hitting that print button again and again, which will only result in x number of wasted print jobs, please follow these steps:
