Remote Sensing Phytoplankton and its response to El-Nino
Hmmmm... Pineapple slices |
INTRODUCTION
Understanding the delicate balance of our oceans and its ecosystem is something that we have only recently begun to understand. This web site was produced to help anyone (especially students) get a clear, complete and accurate picture of how using satellite technology, with the help of these tiny critters, allows us to make sense of this phenomenon known as El Nino.
So what is phytoplankton anyways?
|
"Looks like popcorn to Me." |
Check it out, here are all the resources that you will need to get an appreciation for these very important "critters".
You can learn how and why:
1) The secrets
of our planet's past climates are locked
inside their
tiny bodies.
2) The keys to predicting our planets future climates.

Conclusion
The generation of remote sensing images of the world's oceans supports the correlation between the importance of phytoplankton and their response to climatic changes. By visiting these sites you can now understand the power of the information that is being generated. This data will continue to help us predict, forecast, and anticipate future natural disasters world wide.
