Transportation
GPH282 Global Environmental Issues - May, 2012
Transportation at Salem State University is
essential to our sustainability program. Salem
State participates in the Rideshare survey each
year. The survey is set in place in order to hear
feedback about how commuters, residents, and
faculty all get around campus. We provide
sustainable transportation by offering discounts
for public transportation, the incorporation of
Salem Spins bicycle program, and providing
shuttle service to students. With the help of all of
you we can make this survey more affective and
helpful.
The Salem Spins station is located at the Salem State Campus Police
Station. There is a rack filled with black vintage bikes sitting out front.
A Clipper Card is required as collateral, because guess what… ITS
FREE. Bikes will be available from September through November and
will re-open in March each year.
